Florida lady accused of assault over pizza slice

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Authorities have arrested a woman in Florida who they say tried to assault another female with a knife while she was denied a slice of pizza. The St. Augustine Record reports that 22-12 months-vintage De’Erica Cooks is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said Cooks became irritated after some other girl denied her a pizza slice when she requested one. An offense document says Cooks advised the girl, “I’m going to cut you,” with a steak knife in her hand, and then tried to assault her. Deputies say a person in the house can take the knife away from Cooks. Cooks informed investigators that she no longer took into account an awful lot.
